Hmmph. Better Britain's churches work on reasserting their OWN Christian heritage!
Oh good. I look forward to seeing our bishops issuing thoughtful public statements on the restoration of disseised Welshmen and the need to avoid placing fishing-weirs in the Queen's waterways. The thirteenth-century defence of the rights of the Anglo-Norman baronial class is clearly the best way to show that the church is down with the kids. Perhaps there should also be an urgent debate in synod over the official stance of the C of E on the wars of Stephen and Matilda, an issue on which we have clearly been too silent for much too long.
