Bishop of Bristol to retire

The Bishop of Bristol, the Rt Revd Mike Hill, has announced that he will retire on 30 September 2017.

I believe that Bishop Mike opposed the passage of the Same Sex Marriage Act. I disagree with those who oppose a change in Church teaching, but I can still respect them. I can see no theological merit in trying to impose an opposition to same sex marriage on non-Christians. Christ +taught+, He did not rule - though He obviously could have done.
