Thanks to the ‘Mystery Worshipper’s’ reminder of the Joys of Mary at England’s Little Nazareth. My memory goes back to 1961, when the Slipper Chapel was just a resting place to take off one’s shoes en route to the Shrine. Now look at it! Walsingham is one place where Anglo and Roman Catholics can rejoice, with Mary, that Christ is our Saviour and Redeemer: “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Thank you Mark for your thoughtful piece as you approach your Jubilee of Priesthood.

Brings back memories of serving my title in the Bristol diocese.Dear Bishop Oliver Tomkins told me the priest I was to serve under was dying. But I would learn so much from him, in the short time remaining. How true. Fr Ronald Down was a saint, and I will always remember him with gratitude. Together with the Cloud of Witnesses who support us on our priestly journey.
