Comments: The embarrassment of history?

Brian Crowe: "The history of Anglicanism is marred by the sin of repression - and redeemed by the pain of periodic exclusion."

I emphatically DISAGREE w/ the above (whether its Anglicanism's history, or anyone else's).

The "sin of repression" is redeemed by REPENTANCE, and RECONCILIATION w/ the repressed.

It is NOT redeemed in a comparative "I'm more victimized than you were (by me)!" Blame Game.

Lord have mercy!
