Comments: Pittsburgh: decision time approaches

"Peter Frank, a spokesman for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, said that “people are free to meet to discuss their future … If they wish to no longer be part of the diocese [after a vote to realign], we will do our best to make that as painless and charitable as possible.”"

This sounds familiar . . . oh, I know! "Fog in Channel, Continent cut off" ;-/

Lord have mercy!

I know people opposed to the Bishop's schismatic actions in Pittsburgh and they are well organized..they are going to give him a run for his money. They haven't been incompetent or neglectful like the Virginia Diocesan authorities.

"New York-based denomination" is a bit of a red herring, I think. The national offices are in Manhattan, certainly, but one wonders if mentioning the fact is hoping to inflame other sorts of cultural divisions.
