Comments: Word on the Street

What a wonderful, timely and much-needed initiative on the part of 'Inclusive Church' - on behalf of all who are intent on finding a viable and trustworthy apologetic for the authentic and rightful place of women and gays in the Church and in the world.

For those of us who live too far away to be part of this ground-breaking and exciting development in Bible Study, it is hoped that a concise and helpful programme of Bible Studies can be made available on a Communion-wide basis, so that our clergy and parishioners may benefit from its outcome. We shall be praying for the success of this important move forward in today's Christian formation and education of clergy and people.

INCLUSION IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Referring to the Hebrew Scriptures as 'the Old Testament' is not very inclusive, and I find it off-putting.

No wonder no-one has been found to take up the challenge.
