Comments: General Synod - Saturday press roundup

'Mrs Joanna Monckton asked the Mission and Public Affairs Council to encourage the government to change the law to ensure Christians could “work and express their Christian views at work without the threat of losing their jobs.”'

There is time for all this at work ?

The time at work is work time. Better witness by far to get on with your duties and responsibilities for which payment is given.

Or do you envisage 'the bin men', post person, delivery people to regale me on the door step with Christian views ? Is my garden and paint work godly enough ?

Their take on me living with another man perhaps ?

And then what of the bus and train drivers ?

A little gospel work as my ticket is punched perhaps.

Or is all this about middle class jobs, and the Philip Giddingses of this world spending work time on none work matters, with impunity ?
