Comments: February General Synod - online papers

A spirited statement from the Diocese of Guildford of a case that "the Church" was in the vanguard of human rights by reference to Magna Carta.

No mention of the fact that the head of the Church at that time - the Pope - actually issued a Papal bull stating that Magna Carta was null and void, because he was dead against it.

Just shows the actual power of the papacy. That pope died, but the Magna Carta still lives.
