Comments: SEC General Synod 9-11 June 2016

I hope that the Church of England and its General Synod will keep out of this one, unlike its muscling in with the 'Columba' agreement.

From an outsider perspective at least they are doing this from a logical position. ..changing marriage first and not approving ss relationships in the clergy the Church of Scotland.

Did anyone see this?
"It has been learned today that the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has privately threatened to sack the Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, David Chillingworth, from ecumenical dialogue if members of the church’s General Synod do not do as they are told with respect to same-sex marriage."

I saw that, IT.

How can we believe that Welby is fit to lead God's people with such blatant power plays on display? I don't think the choice of him for the Archepiscopacy was an act of the Holy Spirit.
