Thanks to Martin Sewell for another helpful piece. However, I wonder why he includes deans but not archdeacons in the reporting process?

A good and thought-provoking article by Fr Colin Coward on the Eucharist He is surely right when he asserts "an Alpha-based pattern of worship wants to make clones of us". There is a vast difference between the transforming power of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and the mediocre singing of trite ditties, accompanied by men in jeans banging a set of drums. What hope for the happy-clappy Church of England?

"accompanied by men in jeans banging a set of drums"

I'm not particularly a fan of Alpha, but I know a good number of people who have experienced the transforming power of Jesus on an Alpha Course too.
