When I first heard of this I really thought it was a ‘wind up’ - but then it dawned on me that it wasn’t - is this really about theology or is it more about politics? It would seem to me that if the history of the church is anything to go by then burning heretics has almost always been a political activity rather than a theological one -I have commented on this on my site if anyone is interested. . .
