The Church of England owes +Colin a huge debt of gratitude- not only did he ‘hold the fort’ of one of the largest diocese for one of the longest Vacancies, but did so without hardly any of the benefits of being a Diocesan.
He has been a firm and outspoken ally of the LGBT+ community, agreeing to write the Foreword to Journeys in Grace & Truth.
He will be sorely missed by many of us in the Oxford Diocese.
The Church of England can ill afford to lose such bishops.

I heartily concur with what Jayne has said – +Colin has been a wonderful pastoral Bishop who, despite his extraordinary workload, managed to always be present when needed. Wise, Godly with an entrepreneurial flair and a twinkle in his eye.

I wish Colin and Sarah all the best.
