The electronic voting results from this month’s meeting of General Synod are now available online. These contain the names of voting members and how they voted.

How do I relate motions to Item numbers, please?
Look in Business Done for the item of interest. Each motion and amendment is numbered. That is the item number for the voting results.
What a pity we don’t have a voting record for item 35. I would have been very interested in which of my episcopal and clergy colleagues who serve on Synod considered getting to the bar more important than giving proper consideration to the failings recorded in Clive’s Report.
Indeed, eight days later the voting lists for the two counted votes on motions to move to next business have still not yet been uploaded to the GS page of the CofE website, viz: 1. I thank David for his continuing close attention to detail; I should clarify one important point. When I originally submitted my following motion it was directed towards the Audit Committee report, but I was advised that this was not provided for under Standing Orders; I confirm and pay tribute to our principal Legal Advisor Alex MacGregor who impartially and promptly assisted me with the guidance necessary to avoid the kind of procedural wrangles we have had in the recent past. Martin, thank you for this clarification, it’s really helpful. Also, thank you for all your hard work at Synod, particularly on Safeguarding. Your unwavering adherence to obtain justice and fairness for victims and survivors has been exemplary. Your resignation from Synod is understandable.
