General Synod Questions

The Questions (and answers) for this weekend’s meeting of the Church of England’s General Synod were issued today. They can be found online here:

Questions will be taken on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. There are 221 questions, four fewer than at the last group of sessions.

I have just added this comment to the ‘Pre Synod press release’ post of 20 June: The General Synod secretariat is suffering from the ‘cut and paste’ error syndrome! The Questions Notice Paper for July 2024 (at 6.15pm on 3 July, now available to download from the GS section of the C of E website) states: “The Business Committee has scheduled two and a half hours for Questions at the February 2024 Group of Sessions of the General Synod. And alas, Saturday lunchtime and the answers to those important questions were never opened to supplementaries and clarifications because (as you predicted, David) they ran out of time.
