Kapya Kaoma's expose of the well-known American fundamentalist author Scott Lively, whose campaign of anti-gay propaganda is fuelling the call for passage of the disreputable Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda, warns us of the phenomenon which threatens the very lives of the LGBT people in that country.

As a Holocaust-denier, Lively's credibility among Western Nations is virtually nil. Seemingly, though, he is well-received by homophic countries like Uganda, whose government is hell-bent on further incriminating it's LGBT community, which, apparently never existed in Africa before the arrival of Western Civilisation there!

The further assertion that homosexuality is a pathological disease, which can be caught by the unwary, and which is being subtly imported into Africa by the decadent West; is yet another fallacy that Mr Lively and his affluent American fundamentalist backers are purveying across the African Continent. This political agenda is being perpetrated by the religious right, including the leaders of some Anglican Provinces in parts of the African Continent, who are dependent on the largesse being offered by it's sponsors.

This evil needs to be recognised as part of the anti-gay offensive of a powerful evangelical *Chrisian* movement, which is mobilising forces amongst it's adherents throughout the Western world - in order to frustrate the inclusive nature of the Gospel outreach to the marginalised.

After I read Kapya Kaoma's statement that in Africa World Vision has promoted a conservative view on homosexuality, I contacted World Vision in Australia, asking them if there was any truth in the Reverend Kaoma's allegation. They categorically denied it. What they suggested is that it is possible that Africans who have been employed by World Vision might have promoted such a view of homosexuality. But that if this has happened, it is a matter that pertains not to the organisation as a whole.

I was wondering if any one knows whether there is independent evidence for the Reverend Kaoma's claims about World Vision.
