No wonder the Anglican Church is losing so many members–with declarations like this, who can blame them. Can’t the Anglican Church just clearly state its opinions? The pastoral letter put me to sleep. It reads like a bad politician speaking or a government form letter.
Come on Church–get real. Preach Jesus Christ crucified, and resurrected. He died for our sins. If the Church would just preach the Real Jesus instead of this foolishness, then souls would get saved and the Anglican Church would come alive!!!!

A well thought out and gracefully stated letter. I would suggest to “Leo” that this is very clear, and clearly Anglican – a balance of Scripture, tradition and reason. Perhaps if he wishes the church to “come alive!!!!,” he should investigate a more fundamentalist, evangelical denomination.
Of course, my cynical side says the Anglican Church will soon meet Leo’s requirements nicely and that we Thinking Anglicans will have to search elsewhere…
