Wow thanks to Jean M for this gem: The answer lies in developing a spirituality for a long haul and getting practised at lifting oneself up from blow after blow. Her questioner had asked her about how to survive in a church which simply hews, more towards Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell than towards Truth Telling, particularly when it comes to those fav hot button target groups of the moment, talented women and queer folks.
