I think Duncan Wilson’s piece is excellent. For me that is what a good sermon looks like. That, and that alone. It’s engaging and embeds teaching in a story , just as Jesus did. Perhaps most importantly it leaves the teaching very open so that each reader, at their own stage of spiritual development, gets value from it.
